The book Thou Shalt Not Worship Other Gods is an excellent collection of studies on one of the most dangerous strange fires within the Christian world: the Emergent Church movement. Written by leading Seventh-day Adventist theologians, most of them published in theological journals, these studies analyze the possible influences of the phenomenon on Adventism, the so-called omega apostasy, and the critical role of music as a current propellant of the emergent phenomenon, the importance of the principle of the holiness of God for true biblical worship and, finally, the prominence of the theme of worship in the book of Revelation and its profound ethical and theological implications. The book Thou Shalt Not Worship Other Gods comes at an opportune time to fill a vital need of the church in its worship of God, and to provide solid biblical and theological arguments to help us better prepare for the subtle deceptions of the end times.
