Divine Ordinances - DVD Single

Although this was recorded at 3ABN's 2008 Spring Campmeeting  it is  more relevant today than ever before.  Pastor Bohr gave two presentations on the Sabbath there-this one and "Sabbath Reform".

Isaiah 24 gives a description of Christ's Second Coming and how this planet will be devastated because it "is defiled by its inhabitants because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, and broken the everlasting covenant" (Isa. 24:5,6). Pastor Bohr examines each of these phrases and shows how they all point to a transgression of God's Law. Thus, the Law is still applicable for Christians in the end time.

God set up ordinances at creation that are the basics of how this planet operates. Scripture calls the ocean boundaries, the planets' orbits and the times and seasons God's ordinances for nature.

Marriage and the Sabbath were the two divine ordinances set up by God for our human race's good. When these things are desecrated the earth falls under its curse. The little horn power in Daniel tried to change God's ordinances.  Today many in the secular world push against God's ideal of marriage and most churches push against God's holy Sabbath. God will hold the world accountable for His broken laws, so how does it make sense then, as many Christians say, that the Law (especially the Sabbath) has been done away with by the cross, yet at the same time they condemn the secular world for its liberalness in marriage standards? The Bible says that Christians in the end, like the Pharisees, will "have a form of godliness, but deny its power" (2 Tim. 3:1-5).

This is also a valuable study of the balance of faith and works and how both the Law and Sacrificial Grace are blended as the twin aspects of the everlasting covenant working together in the plan of salvation. The remnant will be identified by being those who keep the commandments of God and have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb and have metamorphosed into a character like Christ's by beholding His glory.
