People crave the emotional, the subjective, the miraculous, and the sensual, and Satan will cater to that in making it appear that God no longer requires a strict belief in the Bible or His Law but that we are to go by "principle", "science", and "experience" instead. He uses theologians to claim the records of Genesis were good for Moses in his primitive understanding and culture, but that science today has discovered advanced and more educated and accurate answers to our origins and thus how we are to live our lives.
You will see plenty of reasons why it is impossible to believe in evolution and remain a true Seventh-day Adventist. You will see how Satan can dupe, by this insidious theory, even those who know the truth and lead them to doubt the Bible, the Spirit of Prophecy, Bible standards, the nature of sin, the atonement, and the Sabbath. He hopes to ultimately lure them with "scientific proof" that upholds spiritualism into giving up their belief that the dead do not know anything or that we need to be careful when dazzling miracles are preformed in front of our very eyes. "Spiritualism is the masterpiece of deception. It is Satan's most successful and fascinating delusion" (ST, August 26, 1889).
Our doctrines are all interconnected and if Satan can slip out the holding pin of a literal "seven consecutive days of twenty-four hours" week of Creation, he can haul down the whole structure. The degrading, cruel and selfish theories of God using "survival of the fittest" to develop the earth to perfection are truly a horrible mockery of His omnipotence, omniscience, humility, and loving heart. Those who believe He operates like this will someday lose their way into infidelity. You will be thankful for this series which really helps in warning us of the dangers Christians fall into who place the idol of science over the revealed Word of God.
